Witches fireThe release date was announced at Summer Games Fest, as the long-awaited Victorian-era shooter can be played in Early Access on September 20, 2023. The game will launch for PC via Epic Games and has been confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox.
While there’s not much new here, you can definitely see the influence of Painkiller and Bulletstorm. This means densely packed arenas along with monstrous enemy design and a movement speed faster than a Japanese bullet train (pun intended). If you are a fan of some of the best FPS games, you will want to keep it Witches fire on your radar in the coming months.
Witches fire was first revealed in 2017 at The Game Awards in an iteration before Summer Games Fest. Everything has come full circle as this upcoming game presents a dark new take on the arena shooter genre. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a suitable fast-paced successor to this type of game, and the only notable recent examples that carry the torch are Serious Sam 4 back in 2020.
The Official combat trailer demonstrated at IGN’s Fan Fest in 2023 Witches firebrutally fast combat loop. Without a doubt, there is a striking resemblance to all the stars of the modern classics of the genre, such as Eternal Destruction. The weapons at your disposal look like the true stars of the title, as there are meaty-looking revolvers and satisfying revolvers, as well as flaming crossbows for good measure.
Currently, it is not known in what exact condition Witches fire will be available when it goes live in early access. Since the game was announced six long years ago, we’re hoping the pre-release version will have enough meat on its bones.
