Belkin is back with a new lineup of Apple-exclusive products, most notably the BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 wireless charging stand.
Younger brother of BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 wireless charger Launched last year, this new model not only allows you to quickly charge iPhones and AirPods charging cases, but also offers support for charging in landscape mode. This is a new feature that takes advantage of the new standby mode available in iOS 17.
StandBy mode, as revealed at WWDC 2023, gives iPhones the ability to control smart home devices, from smart bulbs to door locks. Sitting on the BoostChargePro 2-in-1 stand, you can turn your smartphone into your own smart home display. For those not interested in owning a smart home, people can still use the BoostCharge Pro and iPhone pairing as a sort of side table helper.
MagSafe and secure
The BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 has many of the same features as the older model, including “MagSafe technology” for fast wireless charging “up to 15W”.
The first thing you’ll notice about this update though is the loss of the T-arm from the previous installment. That’s because Belkin removed support for Apple Watches. But don’t worry as it will have the same level of performance as before, plus a cheaper price tag and the previously mentioned compatibility with landscape mode.
It is secure enough to be placed both vertically and horizontally, so you don’t have to worry about the device falling down. At the bottom is A Qi wireless charging base exclusively for AirPods. However, it is slightly smaller than Belkin’s 3-in-1 wireless charger as it measures 4.72 x 4.72 x 6.22 inches (120 x 120 x 158mm).
Available in white and black, the BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 wireless charging stand is available for $99.99 from Apple website with a shipping date set for June 12. Remember that you must haveiPhone 12 or later” device to use the charger.
In terms of AirPods, the base is compatible with most models from the first generation. The only exception is the so-called AirPods Max. None of Belkin’s products work with headphones, so you’ll have to stick with the Lighting port for charging. For a complete list of compatible products, see the charger product list.
